Kristin has a comprehensive real estate and business background, acquiring real-world knowledge as her career progressed. Kristin began her 20-year real estate career in property management, where she worked for national real estate investment trusts, overseeing 2,000 units in the Southwest Region of the United States.  During her time in that field of real estate, she worked closely with several new construction projects – peaking an interest she didn’t realize she had.  In tandem with Kevin, Kristin’s husband, they began picking up properties on the side, doing fix-and-flips and then, began building individual homes.  When they got to the point of building out an entire sub-division, Kristin stopped working in property management altogether, focusing on the family home building business.  In this setting, Kristin served primarily in the function of sales manager.  When the Great Recession made it impossible for clients to get loans, Kristin re-focused her passion of construction and building to working for a consulting firm.  Kristin worked for a boutique, luxury owners' association in a private 700-acre golf course, custom home community. She gained additional knowledge of how home owners associations work as the community manager, as well as more in-depth understanding of construction when serving on the design review/architectural committee.

During this time, Kristin and her husband lived in the Southwest, where they owned a sporting goods store to compliment a 501(c)3 youth football league that Kevin led and also a liquor store where they first delved into the world of craft brews.  They also purchased homes and had a vacation rental business in Arizona.

Kevin’s job at Microsoft moved the family to the beautiful Pacific Northwest in 2011.  Sympathetic to those moving across the country, Kristin began working as the General Manager and Designated Broker of a Bellevue based relocation brokerage.  The brokerage worked with third party relocation companies to help people from large corporations like Microsoft, Starbucks, Nordstrom and Amazon find housing with their hiring package.  Kristin also served as a board member for the Washington Multi Family Housing Association and as a committee member for the Northwest Pacific Relocation Council.

 

In 2013, Kevin and Kristin, along with Kevin’s son, Kempton, began a new venture: Bushell Craft Brewing Company in Redmond, where the taproom serves food and beer.  (Little known fact - Kristin is a classically trained chef and created the food menu.)  

 

Eventually, Kristin was asked to become the Managing Broker for a nationally branded real estate firm, focusing on agent recruitment, development, coaching, training and compliance.  80% of this firm’s business was dealing with foreign clients and investors for both residential and commercial transactions, including business opportunity sales.

 

Today, Kristin opened her own brokerage because her main passion is using all her combined experience to serve agents, who then serve their clients so that both the agent and the client find success.
